Kate Hudson graces the January cover of ‘Vogue’ magazine. In the issue she talks about her divorce, her son, and Owen Wilson. Here are some highlights from the interview…

On getting a divorce:
“The most difficult thing I’ve ever done in my life. The process of discovering with somebody that you love that you don’t… work is so painful. And thank goodness I did it with Chris… We helped each other through it. Now we’re both single and since the day we separated, we talk multiple times.

On the last year:
“It was just an extremely giant sort of leap. I definitely feel like I’ve grown up a lot.”

On shooting Fool’s Gold in Australia:
“It was a really interesting time for me. It was right when Chris and I were getting divorced, and I didn’t want to be so far away, because it was hard for us. And it was the first time I sent Ryder to be with Chris while I was working, and that was definitely difficult. But it was probably the best experience I’ve had to date, in terms of everything as a whole.”

On Owen Wilson:
“Owen is such a lovely person, and I love him dearly. And I wish him beautiful things — health and everything that he desires in life.”

On fear:
“I just love to have fears because I love to be able to conquer them.”a day.”

On why it ended:
“We had Ryder, and we both sort of looked at each other and went, ‘Something’s off.’”

On Matthew McConaughey:
“We’re like brother and sister! We seem to drive each other crazy in a good way. Matthew kind of puts it perfectly when he says that we fight well and flirt well, and we’re perfect pains in each other’s ass.”

On gaining 70 pounds during pregnancy:
“I would be eating ice cream and my mom would literally pry the spoon away from me, saying, ‘You’ve had enough to last you a lifetime.’”

‘Heroes’ star Hayden Panettiere and Ashley Judd will announce the nominees for the 65th Annual Golden Globe Awards in the US tomorrow morning.

Nominations in 25 categories will be announced at the Beverly Hilton in California tomorrow morning.

The Golden Globe Awards take place on Sunday 13 January at the Beverly Hilton.

The awards are voted on by members of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association and are viewed as an indicator of possible Oscar winners.

“Tom likes me in a suit and a mini every now and then. I like it when he likes it. It makes me blush,” the “Mad Money” star told In Style magazine. “He’ll say, ‘You look good. I hope security’s going with you.’ Now that gives me attitude.”

Katie, on the other hand, is turned on by Tom’s new hobby — flying.

“He knows what he’s doing. When he decides to do something, he does it. It’s great. It’s hot,” Holmes gushes to the January issue of the mag, which hits stands Friday.

Holmes told the magazine she would “love to” have more kids, but the couple is in no particular hurry.

“We’re enjoying our time right now,” Holmes says.

She also says Cruise was the perfect coach when she gave birth to their daughter Suri, 1.

“[He was] by my side the whole time. I couldn’t have asked for a more supportive human being. He had the room ready, candles everywhere, pictures in frames. It was very homey and beautiful,” she said.

She also says she tries to let Cruise know every day how much she loves him.

“It gets better and better. It made my life,” she says.

Britney Spears called in sick to her court-ordered deposition Dec. 12, and according to her friends, we can expect her so-called illness to rear its ugly head again — relapses that will happen to coincide with future court dates.

“Britney feels like this is a perfectly acceptable thing to do,” said a source close to Spears. “She did feel sick, but more than anything, she felt like she didn’t have to do something just because she was told.”

Would Britney really risk losing her kids rather than face questions about her parenting? The answer is complicated. “She would do anything for those babies,” one former employee was quick to point out. “But she really doesn’t believe that she’s going to lose them. She’s not connecting the dots.”

This isn’t the first time that Spears’ cooperation with the courts has been called into question. Kevin Federline’s attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, complained in court last month that she was routinely ducking court-ordered drug tests, often failing to pick up her telephone or respond promptly when called to the laboratory. After that hearing, the court ordered her to provide a reliable telephone number.

“There was a time that Kevin didn’t even have Britney’s cell number,” said one of Spears’ former employees. “Does it seem like a surprise that the court doesn’t have a good number?” Touché.

Weeks after ending his long-term relationship with supermodel Miranda Kerr, Aussie musician Jay G Lyon has hooked up with Hollywood starlet Tara Reid.

Lyon was seen leaving Palazzo Versace on the Gold Coast with the notorious party girl and heading to a Billabong store.

“Tara was helping him pick clothes out,” an onlooker said. “They were very friendly and had a minder with them.”

Reid has been enjoying herself Down Under, including hosting a prostitute-themed ball in Darwin, attending the AFI Awards in Melbourne, and even swimming with dolphins.

Lyon, who makes up the other half of musical duo Tamarama, and Kerr split last month after three years together.

Hollywood beauty Jessica Alba is pregnant with her first child, it was announced today (wed).

The Sin City star and boyfriend Cash Warren will become parents next summer.

Alba’s spokesman Brad Cafarelli confirmed the news to a US magazine.

Cafarelli said: “I confirm that Jessica and Cash are expecting a baby in late spring, early summer.”

Alba, 26, has dated Warren, 28, since autumn 2004 after they met on the set of The Fantastic Four. He was working as a director’s assistant on the action flick.

She recently told how she was going on an eight-and-half month break from movies - but denied it was maternity leave.

She said earlier this month: “I’ve worked the last two and a half years without stopping. “This is the time to do it.”

Before the pregnancy announcement she had been in talks to make her Broadway debut this summer in a revival of David Mamet play, Speed The Plow in role of Karen - the part played by Madonna in the same play in 1998.

Alba and Warren have been photographed shopping for mattresses in Los Angeles in the last week, and were seen at a Lakers basketball game where they were spotted kissing.

Jessica recently said she was planning to take eight months off work, but didn’t specify why.
