After Courtney Love revealed yesterday that the producers of American Idol had contacted regarding replacing Paula Abdul, Nigel Lythgoe, executive producer of Idol, politely denies any contact.

He says,

“I did not call Courtney Love and am afraid someone may have misrepresented me. Courtney Love is a very talented artist, but the judges for American Idol are Paula, Randy and Simon. We have no plans to add to or replace any of them.” 

Courtney wrote this response on her official fan page:

This kerfuffle is NONSENSE, i said to a friend who obviously passed igt on the wrong way that it was awierdly brilliant PRANK CALL, if it was NOT a prank call i woul dnever ever do that, ive never watche dthat show except once with my daughter i went to the final night, I couldnt even get ON that show nor would i wantt o and no offense to anyone who has been on that show and wantsto be on that show- i have no interest at this point in my life, im interested in putting this record out- doing films and doiung rock shows this summer and being on the road, and thats what i shall do. US misrepresented and misquoted me and nothing i said was ever meant for any publication. I didnt kn ow it wa sgoing to be a big deal but then again ive been very busy and id ont exactly pay attention to pop culture and id ont read tabloids and idont have a google alert i find lofe fAr easier without those things, good reviews are great biut baqd ones suck and its best to nopt read them at all, i like how Ben Kingsley hasnt readhis own press in 2w0 some years, and i aspire to that- last time i read my press was a Brit piece that had me in bed for three dayus and is wor eoff reading my own press after that, of ocuerse i needmy publicist to tell me who to speak to and who nit to but my days of speaking directly to editors etc are behind me- i was followed by paparazzi all day today and have had to get armed security for the evening so we can have some privacy die to that dumb piece wich is ourt of prder an dout of context its TOTALLY RANDOM

Actress Christina Haag, a former girlfriend of the late John F. Kennedy Jr., was paid over a million-dollar advance for her upcoming book about her relationship with Kennedy. According to News @ Imdb.com and other sources, she will cover the couple’s days at Brown University to Kennedy’s fling with Madonna while he was still dating Haag. It will also include details about Haag’s bitter drama between her and Kennedy’s mother, Jacqueline Onassis, who disapprove of Haag because she was an actress.

In November 2006, Haag secretly signed the book deal with Doubleday Imprint Spiegel & Grau. In the last years of Ms. Onassis life, she worked at Doubleday as an editor.

Us is reporting that the ratings heavyweight is shopping for a Paula Abdul replacement, and apparently they’re looking into an even bigger disaster- Courtney Love. Courtney is scheduled to guest judge, and possibly take over for Abdul. Love reveals to her favorite magazine Web site that Idol’s executive producer Nigel Lythgoe called her office last week inquiring into whether she would be interested in sitting in as a judge on the hit FOX show.

“He called,” Love tells Usmagazine.com. “He was wondering if I was interested. I
thought it was kind of weird but brilliant.”

Kate Moss is currently supporting her boyfriend Pete Doherty through another stint in rehab. But VIPglamour wonders whether today’s edition of The Sun will have any impact on that. They have video of Pete injecting himself in a ‘grubby Thai hostel’ while on the phone to the supermodel telling her he is ‘fine’. When Kate asks him what he’s doing he replies, “What’s the matter? I love you”. The video was made just 2 days after the couple’s alleged Buddist bleessing on New Year’s in Phuket, Thailand.

In the video Pete is shown hanging out with Jess Lea, 21 and two of her friends.

In what could only be a devasting blow to Kate when she hears it and should be the last straw if she has any respect, Jess asks Pete if the rumours he married Kate were trust. He replies:

“No, I love her but I wouldn’t marry her if she was the last woman on Earth. She’s too paranoid.”

Pete is seen injecting coke “at least 3 times between 1.30 am and 4am.

Jess said to the The Sun:

“It was a bit mind-blowing. He asked us if we minded. Initially we were like, ‘OK, go for it’, but as time went on we began to get nervous.”

When Jess and her friends eventually got him downstairs Pete asked reception where he could score some heroin, and then asked the taxi driver where he could get some drugs.

Jess said that then she,

“I sent Kate a text reading, ‘Dropped Peter off at the Bob Marley café. He’s a bit out of sorts’. That’s the last we saw of him.”

As reported the CHP have recommended that Brandy be charged with misdemeanour vehicular manslaughter without gross negligence in the car crash that killed Aboudihah Awatef last month and things aren’t about to get any better for the songstress. The parents of Aboudihah have filed a $50 million wrongful death lawsuit against Brandy. The suit alleged that “Brandy was driving recklessly” at the time of the accident. People Magazine report that at the time of the tragic accident the mother of one was on her way to one of her two waitress jobs.

Brandy’s new rep said in a statement:

“The accident was a terrible tragedy and Brandy’s heart goes out to Awatef Aboudihaj’s family…But for legal reasons we cannot comment on this lawsuit.”

Page 6 reports that Brandy has fired Courtney Barnes as her rep and hired crises-management specialist Allan Mayer, “to try and salvage her Disney-esque reputation”.

Beyonce may be a multi-millionaire superstar triple threat who can sing, dance and act but that doesn’t mean that those working for her get treated right. TMZ reports that dancers on her last videos are being paid below average salaries in order to less costs.

TMZ’s sources say her B’s choreographer, Frank Gatson has refused tow work with any of the dancer’s agents. This practice means that she can then pay them the lower wages. TMZ reports that,

“this practice is highly irregular for an artist of Beyonce’s stature, and undermines the dance industry as a whole”.

In order to keep good working relationships with the dancer it is the RSA FILMS who hare now shelling out the agency fees.

Some dancers have boycotted working with Beyonce over it but others are willing to accept the pay just to say they worked on such a high profile video with Beyonce.

Beyonce’s rep has not returned any of TMZ’s calls.

Sienna bragged to reporters yesterday at the premiere of Factory Girl that she didn’t use a stylist and liked to dress herself.  Right.  VIPglamour wonders why then she showed up at the afterparty in a pair of spanx. 

Singer Brandy is facing the possibility of jail time. The California Highway Patrol recommended yesterday that Brandy be charged with misdemeanour vehicular manslaughter in the fatal freeway crash that Brandy was involved in last month.

A spoksman for the City Attonney’s office for review, Nick Velasquez states:

“The office is currently reviewing the case and determining whether the evidence warrants the filing of a misdemeanor charge of vehicular manslaughter,”

The charge carries a maximum entence of one year in county jail and a $1,000 fine.

The attorney for the dead woman’s husband stated that he supports the CHP’s reccommendation.

Brandy’s publicist Courtney Barnes has yet to respond to this new development.

Paris filed a federal lawsuit yesterday seeking to shut down every blogger’s favourite site Parisexposed.com. Paris is now claiming that a moving company was supposed to pay the storage fees and was

“shocked and surprised” to learn that the contents had been sold at public auction.

The lawsuit alleges that defendants Nabil and Nabila Haniss paid $2,775 for Paris’s belongs and later sold them to Pardia Persa who created Parisexposed for $10 million. If this is true, VIPglamour is impressed with the Haniss’s entrepreneurial spirit as they managed to turn a $10 million profit out of disclosing information about Paris’s herpes medication etc. 

Elliot Mintz, Paris’s rep said that he, “would like all of these items returned to her” and wants the site shut down. 

What are the chances that if Parisexposed had offered Paris and Elliot a cut of the profits that they would be suing now?
