Here’s a little synopsis from NBC: “Outrage breaks out in the office after Phyllis gets an unexpected eyeful from a flasher. Michael makes some important personal decisions when he takes the women on a special outing. Meanwhile, Dwight and Andy work on catching the predator.”

The supersized “Women’s Appreciation” episode of The Office airs @ 8:35-9:19PM on NBC.

March 23rd, 2007 Jenna Fischer’s “Post-It Notes” Bra

Wired Magazine’s creative director Scott Dadich sounds off on The Office’s Jenna Fischer’s nakedness in the Wired April 2007 issue:

“The April cover of WIRED features a package of stories about radical transparency, our notion that the next model of business success is laying your company bare to the world—sharing secrets with your rivals, blogging about ideas as you have them, and copping to fumbles and foibles as you make them. The concept was crisp, but we all struggled with how to portray a pretty complex idea in the three-second visual byte that is the modern magazine cover. If you’re talking about transparency, the obvious metaphor is clear: you’re naked.

So of course, WIRED being WIRED, we wanted a cover that was smart and showy. And as Creative Director I wanted something that hadn’t been done before. We settled on the idea of printing on clear acetate. But it had to be interactive. Now you’re in a business suit—now you’re not.

Then we wrestled with the question of how to best show the real goings on inside the modern American office. How about using “The Office” as a model? And who would we like to see practicing what we’re preaching? Dwight? Ehhh…notsomuch. Of course, Pam. So we called NBC and pitched our idea and Jenna Fischer (thankfully!) liked the idea.

Michael Elins photographed her in Los Angeles in a dingy little studio. And yes, the whole thing is real; we shot it in two parts, Jenna in her business suit and her birthday suit (really). She was a great sport about the whole thing. Funny and endearing.

And no, I don’t have outtakes.”

Darn, no outtakes!!!!!!

March 20th, 2007 Rashida Jones: TV’s Sexiest Star

Rashida Jones, aka Karen Filippelli from The Office, makes the list of TV’s 40 hottest stars who steam up the screen in TV Guide’s “Sexy Issue.”

Co-star Ed Helms (Andy Bernard) sounds off on 31-year-old Rashida Jones:

Rashida Jones and I first met on The Office set. We were in the same situation at the same time — the new kids — and she was an ally right off the bat. I think her character’s appeal stems from being straightforward and honest, but also up for a good joke. In real life, Rashida is like that. She’s very present, quick with a joke and makes people feel comfortable. For someone with her background — being Peggy Lipton and Quick Jones‘ daughter — she’s so accessible and down-to-earth. There’s an inherent graciousness in that; it’s refreshing. One of the things that Rashida and I have in common is that we’re both closet dorks. We both sang in a cappella groups in college. Occasionally, we’ll just sort of break into a cappella renditions of stupid songs just to keep each other amused. To me, anybody who doesn’t mind acting like an ass is admirable.”
