Jesse Metcalfe, the former the ga-ga gorgeous gardener Desperate Housewives, has checked into an undisclosed rehab center for alcohol abuse earlier this week. A rep for Jesse, 28, tells Page Six:

On Monday, March 19, Jesse Metcalfe entered a rehab facility to deal with alcohol issues. He realized he had a problem and was anxious to deal with it immediately. The actor, best known as the hunky gardener on the ABC show Desperate Housewives and the star of the film John Tucker Must Die, hopes that the media will allow him the privacy to deal properly with his treatment.

All the hype surrounding Gerard Butler’s performance as King Leonidis in Frank Miller’s 300 has overshadowed Rodrigo Santoro’s fantastic performance as the evil Persian King Xerxes. Check out the amazing transformation Rodrigo made from Brazilian surfer hottie to the 9-foot tall oddly feminine Xerxes.

Rodrigo, 31, is one of Brazil’s most sought-after young actors and has had notable movie roles in Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle and Love Actually. Most recently, he washed up on the shores of ABC’s hit drama Lost.
