Actor Rodrigo Santoro arrives to the 2007 MTV Movie Awards held at the Gibson Amphitheatre on Sunday, June 3, 2007.

Rodrigo Santoro (Lost, King Xerxes in 300), one of the most sought-after Brazilian actors, was on hand for the 2007 ALMA Awards held on Friday, June 1, 2007 at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium in Pasadena, CA.

Santoro, 31, was there to present the award for “Outstanding Actor - Motion Picture”. The nominees in the category were Gael García Bernal (Babel), Jesse Garcia (Quinceañera), and Michael Peña (World Trade Center).

The winners will be announced on Tuesday, June 5, 2007 when the 2007 ALMA Awards are broadcast on ABC at 9PM EDT. Tune in then to see who wins!

All the hype surrounding Gerard Butler’s performance as King Leonidis in Frank Miller’s 300 has overshadowed Rodrigo Santoro’s fantastic performance as the evil Persian King Xerxes. Rodrigo, 31, is one of Brazil’s most sought-after young actors and has had notable movie roles in Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle and Love Actually. Most recently, he washed up on the shores of ABC’s hit drama Lost.
