Mariah Carey is stripping down for Interview Magazine’s September issue, and she’s getting surprisingly candid.

In a subject rarely discussed with the press, Mariah opened up about her mega-million-dollar divorce from music mogul Tommy Mottola.

Mariah Carey tells the mag, “Something happened that prompted me to leave. If somebody does something to me that’s too much, I have no problem cutting them completely out of my life.”

Mariah Carey adds, “I am thankful to him in a lot of ways. I have to forgive him for being so restrictive. With Tommy, it felt like I had this controlling situation where I wasn’t allowed to be myself.”

Mariah Carey also tells Interview about her famous 2001 meltdown and her hospitalization for exhaustion.

“I’m far from perfect. I’m still learning,” she says. “I overworked myself, and I paid the price.”

She continues, “I consider the breakdown a breakthrough. I needed to hit rock bottom. I needed to understand the cost of pushing so hard; fighting so hard against the system. But was I out of control at that moment? Yes.”

In the upcoming film “Beowulf”, a motion capture Angelina Jolie will appear naked, covered by nothing but a braid and drops of water.

Hollywood stunner Angelina Jolie has bared all in her new role as a seductive water demon in the big-screen adaptation of epic Old English poem Beowulf.

The 32-year-old actress, who plays the mother of evil giant Grendel, appears in the £80 million animated film wearing just a long braid, covered in gold paint and with hooves instead of feet.

In one scene, a digitally enhanced Jolie rises from a pool with droplets of water dripping down her every curve and morphs into a monster.

Director Robert Zemeckis, of Back to the Future and Forrest Gump fame, has employed the “motion capture” technology used to create Gollum in the Lord of the Rings trilogy, which transforms live acting into computer animation.

A 20 minute preview was shown last week at Comic-Con, a trade show in San Diego, California. The film tells the tale of a mighty warrior who slays the demon Grendel and incurs the wrath of its monstrous yet seductive mother.

British actor Ray Winstone stars as Beowulf and Anthony Hopkins takes the role of King Hrothgar, whose hall is under attack by Grendel. The cast also includes Robin Wright Penn and John Malkovich.

Brad Pitt’s lover employed a voice coach and an Anglo-Saxon expert to help her with her accent. The reaction to her performance, in which she says some genuine words of Old English, has been mixed.

Some critics say they were confused by the Old English, which was the language of the Anglo-Saxons.

Others described the sound as a “strong Yorkshire accent” while one said she was “a bit Irish, maybe”, reports The Times.

Beowulf dates back to around the 7th or the 8th century and is believed to have been composed in East Anglia.

Joss Stone has joined a host of other female celebrities to pose nude for the latest - and final - edition of Jane Magazine, Sound Generator can reveal.

Pictured tastefully alongside other stars, including Serena Williams and Eva Mendes, the article focuses on female empowerment, and attempts to dispel the ’size zero’ culture in favour of a curvaceous look.

“I’m not into wearing clothes at home” Stone reveals in the article, which sees her photographed by Amanda De Cadenet. The 20-year-old also takes the opportunity to criticise her ex-boyfriend for having low self-esteem, which impacted on her own style.

“I didn’t wear high-heeled shoes for the longest time,” she adds. “I would wear flip-flops because the guy i was with hated that i was tall - and tall can be beautiful! But because he hated it, it made me feel really insecure and i would try and make myself smaller - and that’s ridiculous. So now i wear great big f*ck off heels!”
