He’s filming his next movie entitled, Surfer, Dude, (yes, comma included)!

There are reports that the movie just began filming earlier this month because they had to wait for Sophia Bush to finish filming The Narrows back in New York before beginning production on this movie. As of this post, IMDB does not list Sophia Bush as a definite actress in the movie, but if internet chatter is correct, she’ll most likely be in it than not.

Anyway, if you’ve got a thing for chiseled men in black and white striped surfer shorts, then McConaughey is your man.

Fitness buff Matthew McConaughey gets his daily workout in, beachside at the Malibu Beach R.V. Park on Friday. He apparently has his own trailer set up solely for exercising equipment.

After lifting weights, jump rope and a good stretch outside of his Airstream trailer, McConaughey goes for a run through the hills.

Fitness freak Matthew McConaughey proves he’s more than a pretty face by assembling his own elliptical exercise machine overlooking the ocean on Wednesday in Malibu, Calif.

Matthew must be wearing down his joints and training too hard running on his own. Elliptical trainers are generally used to simulate running without causing excessive pressure to the joints!

Helped by a female assistant, the 37-year-old actor unpacked, assembled and finally tested the machine.

Happy with their handiwork, the pair gave each other a high five. HIGH FIVE!!!

Matthew McConaughey rubs shoulders with surfing champion Kelly Slater on Sunday at the Quiksilver Pro surf event at Snapper Rocks in Coolangatta, Australia along Queensland’s Gold Coast.

In a television interview, a shirtless McConaughey opened up his upcoming movie, Surfer Dude: “The next film I’m doing is a surf film. A lot of this is for leisure and pleasure but also looking around and keeping an eye open for what happens and what goes on in the tournaments.

“To see the balance that these guys have …knowing the water, what waves to get on and when to get on it.”

And just announced today, Jon Shestack Prods. has inked a two-year first-look deal with New Line Cinema, with The Ghosts of Girlfriends Past starring Matthew McConaughey.

Matthew will portray a bachelor who goes to his younger brother’s wedding and gets visited by the ghosts of his past girlfriends. The Ghosts of Girlfriends Past is set for a Christmas 2008 release.
