The house that the Celebrity songstress just purchased on Windermere Island in the Bahamas, is a new 4 bedroom, 5 bathroom, 4000 square foot beautiful estate.

The pop diva was spotted outside of her parent’s jewelry store in Aspen, Colorado over the weekend. And she was showing off her new canine pal.

Reportedly, the “Always Be My Baby” singer spent a lengthy five hours inside the Joan Boyce store. And for Mariah, it was nothing but the best.

She sipped cocktails and tried on all kinds of bling-bling during her half-day stay at the store. And as she left, Carey posed for the paps before slipping on the icy sidewalk. Thankfully, she had a bodyguard to catch her fall.

Mariah Carey debuted her new album to friends in a hot tub.

The singer, who has been busy working on her first new material since 2005’s ‘The Emancipation Of Mimi’, decided to test the water by playing it to her girlfriends as they soaked together.

She said: “I sat in the hot tub the other night playing some songs for some friends and one of them felt it was a very pro-woman kind of thing. And I was like, ‘You know what, I didn’t do that intentionally.’ But she felt that it was a very empowered-woman moment.”

Although Mariah’s pals thought the tracks were promoting girl power, she is adamant the LP is not anti-men.

The pop superstar - who has had a colorful love life, including a turbulent marriage to record boss Tommy Mottola and a brief fling with rapper Eminem - explained: “It’s not that the songs are male-bashing. It’s a fun record. I’m writing with a lot of different people, mainly rappers, and I bring something to the table they don’t and vice-versa.”

Mariah, 39, feels blessed she is able to sing for a living, and insists she never takes her music career for granted.

She told Interview magazine: “To me, to be able to do what I love for a living is a gift from God. I could be doing something I hate every day, but luckily I’m not.”

Mariah Carey is stripping down for Interview Magazine’s September issue, and she’s getting surprisingly candid.

In a subject rarely discussed with the press, Mariah opened up about her mega-million-dollar divorce from music mogul Tommy Mottola.

Mariah Carey tells the mag, “Something happened that prompted me to leave. If somebody does something to me that’s too much, I have no problem cutting them completely out of my life.”

Mariah Carey adds, “I am thankful to him in a lot of ways. I have to forgive him for being so restrictive. With Tommy, it felt like I had this controlling situation where I wasn’t allowed to be myself.”

Mariah Carey also tells Interview about her famous 2001 meltdown and her hospitalization for exhaustion.

“I’m far from perfect. I’m still learning,” she says. “I overworked myself, and I paid the price.”

She continues, “I consider the breakdown a breakthrough. I needed to hit rock bottom. I needed to understand the cost of pushing so hard; fighting so hard against the system. But was I out of control at that moment? Yes.”
