March 23rd, 2007 Lauren Conrad: Big Bucks Beauty

Since MTV’s The Hills, based on Teen Vogue intern Lauren Conrad, returned in mid-January, newsstand sales for the Condé Nast teen title have increased by double digits over last year, reports Women’s Wear Daily.

Pictured: The Hills star Lauren Conrad and BFF co-star Audrina Patridge attend L.A. Fashion Week in Culver City, Calif. The pair attended the opening celebration for the new Lisa Kline boutique and helped support designer pal Melina Solnicki.

At the Lisa Kline party, Lauren, 21, shared what life is like post-The Hills:

  • On being friends with her ex’s: “I’m friends with almost everyone I’ve dated. I mean, you liked them in the beginning, [so] as long as they didn’t do anything.
  • On ex-boyfriend Jason Wahler: Jason a different story. I tried. I do talk to him every once in awhile, just to check in on him. I think he’s doing a little better. He’s got a lot of demons to work out, but he’s a good person. He’ll figure it out eventually.”
  • On ex-boyfriend Brody Jenner: “We’re friends. We all just went to Cabo!”
  • On the Details article in which Brody and his pal Spencer Pratt made some unflattering remarks: “Honestly, I was nauseous reading it. I do feel a little bad because if you read almost every quote, it’s Spencer. He’s a better person without Spencer.”
  • On having a good relationship with The Hills roommate Heidi Montag: “Yeah, yeah. I mean, these are all things I didn’t know. You have to understand when you watch things, this is our first time seeing it, but it happened months and months ago.”
