Katie Holmes ditched the hairdo made famous by good friend Victoria Beckham, and sported a softer, less severe style on a day out in Hollywood with husband Tom Cruise yesterday.

The 29-year-old’s resurrection of old Hollywood glamour continued at a lunch for the first annual Essence Black Women in Hollywood event, where she donned an understated check dress and towering Christian Laboutin heels.

Last night, the Costume Designers Guild held their 10th annual awards show and Katie Holmes was in the house, looking stunning.

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes looked their usual resplendent self at Madonna’s benefit for Raising Malawi and Unicef at the United Nations grounds in New York City on Wednesday night, February 6.

Katie, who is increasingly looked upon as a style icon, seems to be enamored with red color. Last night was at least the fourth occasion in recent times when we have spotted her in either a red dress or a red coat.

Far from growing tired of her color choice we are beginning to get enamored with it. Red never seemed like a great color to us till Katie awakened us to the possibilities.

The combination of her height, youth, sartorial tastes and marriage to Tom Cruise fascinate us.

Katie Holmes attended a premiere of one of her own films for the first time in three years, while husband Tom Cruise was on hand in a supporting role.
Katie, 29, looked stunning in a glittering silver strapless cocktail dress with a lovely back cutout. Tom, 45, graciously met with fans lined up across the street. Taking pictures and signing autographs in a velvet blazer allowing all media attention to be on Katie.
The Cruises joined co-stars Diane Keaton and Queen Latifah for the star-studded screening of their bank heist caper Mad Money in LA.

Katie was out and about with husband Tom Cruise yesterday (as always) sporting a long red double breasted satin coat teamed with white wide legged trousers and a white polo neck sweater.

“Tom likes me in a suit and a mini every now and then. I like it when he likes it. It makes me blush,” the “Mad Money” star told In Style magazine. “He’ll say, ‘You look good. I hope security’s going with you.’ Now that gives me attitude.”

Katie, on the other hand, is turned on by Tom’s new hobby — flying.

“He knows what he’s doing. When he decides to do something, he does it. It’s great. It’s hot,” Holmes gushes to the January issue of the mag, which hits stands Friday.

Holmes told the magazine she would “love to” have more kids, but the couple is in no particular hurry.

“We’re enjoying our time right now,” Holmes says.

She also says Cruise was the perfect coach when she gave birth to their daughter Suri, 1.

“[He was] by my side the whole time. I couldn’t have asked for a more supportive human being. He had the room ready, candles everywhere, pictures in frames. It was very homey and beautiful,” she said.

She also says she tries to let Cruise know every day how much she loves him.

“It gets better and better. It made my life,” she says.

Katie Holmes showed off a new look at an awards ceremony honoring her husband, Tom Cruise, Thursday evening in Germany.

Holmes premiered her new longer-bob haircut on the red carpet as she and her husband made their way into a Duesseldorf ceremony, honoring Cruise for taking risks in his films.

While many suggested Katie’s last haircut took inspiration from her pal, Victoria “Posh Spice” Beckham, her new ‘do, complete with heavy bangs and flatter edges, was entirely her own.

As for Cruise, he accepted his award from a prize committee who honored him for choosing courageous film roles, including his upcoming film “Valkyrie,” Reuters reported.
