Kate Moss takes a bite of the Big Apple in a new ad campaign for designer Longchamp. Photographer Mario Sorrenti teamed up with the supermodel - whose career was threatened after she was pictured snorting cocaine - for the New York-set shoot. Moss, 34, can be seen posing in front of the Brooklyn Bridge and in front of the Manhattan skyline toting a selection of over sized bags. A spokeswoman for Longchamp says of the campaign: “Opposite Brooklyn Bridge or at the very top of a South Manhattan tower the imagery is evokes an eighties spirit full of femininity, energy and fun.” The ads are running in US magazines now. Kate Moss modeled her own design for the official website of UK clothing store chain Topshop. Selma Blair wore the same dobby spot one shoulder dress over a month ago at the women’s filmmaker brunch held at NYC’s SoHo House during the 2007 Tribeca Film Festival. She finished off her look with a pair of metallic strappy sandals. Who wore it best — KATE MOSS or SELMA BLAIR? |

| May 10th, 2007 | Kate Moss Braless For Topshop |
Debuting her Topshop range in New York, the model, apparently braless, made a traffic-stopping appearance. She turned heads while stepping out in Madison Avenue in a sheer see-through dress which put her knickers on show. Clad in a skimpy outfit which leaves little to the imagination, Kate Moss is attempting to wow New York fahionistas with her new Topshop range. Yesterday the supermodel, 33, attended the launch of her new clothing line, already on sale in the UK, which will be stocked in branches of top US store Barneys. And in order to get her garments extra coverage, Kate wore one of her own-label £100 dresses - although she cheekily forgot the optional modesty-saving petticoat. The US press has been scathing about the range – claiming the togs were down-market and ‘cheap and cheerful’ – but fans still queued to snap up bargains. Kate, who was accompanied by bessie mate Sadie Frost, reckons shoppers will love her stuff because she’s a normal girl herself. ‘I’m no different,’ she says. ‘I may be a little bit taller but that’s it. I know what I like to wear and I think it’s the kind of thing other women will like too.’ Whatever, Kate, there’s no way we’d step out with our knickers on show. | May 9th, 2007 | Kate Moss: Supermodel Style @ Barneys |
Kate Moss launches her Topshop fashion line at Barneys New York on Tuesday night accompanied by TopShop head honcho Sir Philip Green. The UK launch of her TopShop line earlier this month has been wildly successful. The collection goes on sale at Barneys today — let’s see if Americans gobble it up as much as the Brits! Fellow Brit Lily Allen recently took a jab at Kate’s new clothing line, saying it’s only for “perfect people.” The outspoken British singer fumed to English magazine Grazia: “Kate’s clothes are just for skinny, perfect girls. I won’t be buying any. I couldn’t get into those tiny hotpants if I tried, and if I did I’d look ridiculous. The hard thing is to get everybody of every size to look fantastic. That’s the real deal. Fashion should be a laugh and be for everybody. My dresses will suit anyone, whether they’re tall or small, or fat or thin. The best thing about dresses is the fact they hide a lot of things you don’t want exposed and flatter the good bits. My bum and legs are revolting, which is why I wear dresses all the time. And I put in wider straps to hide the arm bits we all hate. I was really excited about doing my collection because I know what it’s like to feel uncomfortable in clothes. I don’t just chuck my wardrobe at someone. I got really involved with everything. I love my stuff - I’ve been wearing it loads.” 25+ pictures inside of Kate Moss @ Barneys… Posted in Kate Moss | No Comments »
