Jessica Alba was finally spotted with a discernible baby bump that had so far eluded paparazzi cameras trained on belly since the surprising announcement last week that she was expecting a child with boyfriend Cash Warren in early spring/summer.

Jessica Alba was stylishly attired Tuesday, December 18, and looked relaxed and carefree at lunch with some friends in Beverly Hills.

She wore a full sleeve mini knit dress with collar under a black double breasted trench coat with puff sleeves.

Her burgundy colored newboy cap, black sheer stockings and silver gray calf-high boots went well with the uniform style trench coat.

Hollywood beauty Jessica Alba is pregnant with her first child, it was announced today (wed).

The Sin City star and boyfriend Cash Warren will become parents next summer.

Alba’s spokesman Brad Cafarelli confirmed the news to a US magazine.

Cafarelli said: “I confirm that Jessica and Cash are expecting a baby in late spring, early summer.”

Alba, 26, has dated Warren, 28, since autumn 2004 after they met on the set of The Fantastic Four. He was working as a director’s assistant on the action flick.

She recently told how she was going on an eight-and-half month break from movies - but denied it was maternity leave.

She said earlier this month: “I’ve worked the last two and a half years without stopping. “This is the time to do it.”

Before the pregnancy announcement she had been in talks to make her Broadway debut this summer in a revival of David Mamet play, Speed The Plow in role of Karen - the part played by Madonna in the same play in 1998.

Alba and Warren have been photographed shopping for mattresses in Los Angeles in the last week, and were seen at a Lakers basketball game where they were spotted kissing.

Jessica recently said she was planning to take eight months off work, but didn’t specify why.

‘Fantastic Four’ star Jessica Alba has told Fox News that she’s ready to take eight months off from the movie business to just “read”, leading some to speculate that the sabbatical could be maternity leave.

Alba attended the premiere of her new movie ‘Awake’ at New York’s Chelsea West Theatre last Wednesday (November 14), telling Roger Friedman, “I’ve worked the last two and a half years without stopping. This is the time to do it.”

The 26-year-old stars opposite Hayden Christensen in the film, which IMDB.com describes as a thriller about a man who “finds himself awake and aware, but paralysed, during heart surgery.”

Alba is also currently filming ‘The Love Guru’ with Mike Myers, and has another movie coming out called ‘The Eye’, which is co-produced by Tom Cruise’s business partner Paula Wagner.

Following these releases, the actress is going to take some time out to read. “That would be nice,” she said.
