In other news surrounding the Academy Award winning actress, it was recently announced that soul singer Aretha Franklin has Halle in mind to portray her in an upcoming biopic.

Aretha told press, “For television. My autobiography, From These Roots. Hopefully it will happen early spring. I have verbal commitments from Billy Dee (Williams) to play my father, and Terrence Howard to play Smokey Robinson. I’m not sure yet (who will play me). Jennifer Hudson came to read for me. I also have an interest in Halle Berry possibly doing it. And Fantasia.”

The “Catwoman” star Halle Berry confirmed her pregnancy with model-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry’s baby in an e-mail to “Access Hollywood.”

“Yes, I am three months pregnant,” the “Monster’s Ball” Oscar-winner wrote. “Gabriel and I are beyond excited, and I’ve waited a long time for this moment in life. Now the next … months will be the longest of my life!”

Berry has made her desire to be a mother very clear recently. Her two marriages, to baseball player David Justice and singer Eric Benet, ended in divorce.

Tuesday, TMZ reported that the big-wigs behind the film “Tulia” (also starring Billy Bob Thornton) have pulled the plug on the production as their leading lady is already one-third of the way through her pregnancy.

The film was due to start shooting next month, and Berry was poised to play an attorney assisting a group of black men wrongfully accused of operating a drug ring.

However, the soon-to-be yummy mummy may still have a chance to flex her legal muscles, as producers may pick up the movie again at a later date.

Speculation has been swirling for some time that the sexy star is expecting, as the normally super svelte Berry has been showing an itty-bitty bump beneath her baggy clothes.
