Britney Spears might be on the brink of losing the custody of her kids totally … visitation rights also! But, it seems she’s sobering up and is trying to get back on track to be able to get her kids back from ex hubby K-Fed.
PEOPLE and TMZ are both reporting that Britney has undergone more than one random drug test and has passed them.
Her lawyer said: “She’s passed her random drug tests. There’s been more than one. They came up negative.”
Basically, this means that Brit might be able to regain 50/50 custody of her two boys.
Glad to hear that she’s trying at least!
Until the court hearing on October 26th, Brit must comply to a bunch of court orders.
It has been reported that Brit has also been working with her court-mandated parenting coach.

The album is entitled ‘Blackout’ and will be released on 13 November.

According to Spears’ record label, Jive, the title of the album refers to “blocking out negativity and embracing life fully”.

Britney Spears lost custody of her two sons because she doesn’t have a valid driving licence, according to her lawyer. Attorney Sorrell Trope claims Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner Scott Gordon also handed Sean Preston, two, and Jayden James, one, over to their father Kevin Federline because Spears failed to take a random drug and alcohol test. The decision to grant Federline physical custody was made in a closed-door hearing in L.A. on Monday.

Trope, tells People.com, “We weren’t able to prove compliance with what the judge ordered. Specifically, the judge ordered that by 10am (Monday) morning, both parties show valid California driving licences. I’ve been unable to produce evidence of that.”

According to the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) Spears - currently charged with misdemeanour hit and run and driving without a valid licence - has never held a valid California driver’s licence, but applied for one immediately after leaving court. Spears was also accused in court of failing to attend a drug and alcohol test, imposed by a previous court order. She will have to wait until the next hearing on Wednesday (03Oct07) to learn if she can win back custody of her sons.

Pop singer Britney Spears has been charged with hit and run and driving without a valid licence.
A spokesperson for the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office confirmed that the 25-year-old star was charged with one count of hit and run causing property damage and one count of driving without a valid California driver’s licence on Friday.
Spears is accused of hitting a parked car in a carpark in San Fernando Valley and driving away on 6 August last.
The victim filed an accident report at North Hollywood Community Police Station on 9 August.
The spokesperson for the City Attorney’s Office did not know how much damage was done to either car in the alleged accident.
The charges faced by Spears each carry a maximum penalty of six months in jail and a $1,000 fine.
The singer was notified of the charges by letter on Friday. A hearing has been set for 10 October.
Representatives for Spears have not commented on the charges.
