Brad Pitt came to his girlfriend Angelina Jolie’s rescue at the European premiere of her new film Beowulf on Sunday, by helping her cover-up when her leather pants split at the back.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were on the red carpet in London’s Leicester Square when the actress’ skin-tight black leather trousers started to unstitch around her bottom.

Angelina Jolie’s emaciated stomach almost spoiled a magazine’s idea for their current week’s cover page ‘Is Angelina Jolie pregnant’.

So, the magazine decided to buy the photos of the actress in a midriff-baring tank top, to stop any other magazine from running them.

“When Angelina showed up looking so skinny, they bought the photos,” an insider said.

The publication claims that the actress has gained 10 pounds, but has completely ignored the Oscar Winner’s taut stomach.

“The most striking area of Angelina’s weight gain is in her chest, which is why we focused on that area,” the magazine said.

In the upcoming film “Beowulf”, a motion capture Angelina Jolie will appear naked, covered by nothing but a braid and drops of water.

Hollywood stunner Angelina Jolie has bared all in her new role as a seductive water demon in the big-screen adaptation of epic Old English poem Beowulf.

The 32-year-old actress, who plays the mother of evil giant Grendel, appears in the £80 million animated film wearing just a long braid, covered in gold paint and with hooves instead of feet.

In one scene, a digitally enhanced Jolie rises from a pool with droplets of water dripping down her every curve and morphs into a monster.

Director Robert Zemeckis, of Back to the Future and Forrest Gump fame, has employed the “motion capture” technology used to create Gollum in the Lord of the Rings trilogy, which transforms live acting into computer animation.

A 20 minute preview was shown last week at Comic-Con, a trade show in San Diego, California. The film tells the tale of a mighty warrior who slays the demon Grendel and incurs the wrath of its monstrous yet seductive mother.

British actor Ray Winstone stars as Beowulf and Anthony Hopkins takes the role of King Hrothgar, whose hall is under attack by Grendel. The cast also includes Robin Wright Penn and John Malkovich.

Brad Pitt’s lover employed a voice coach and an Anglo-Saxon expert to help her with her accent. The reaction to her performance, in which she says some genuine words of Old English, has been mixed.

Some critics say they were confused by the Old English, which was the language of the Anglo-Saxons.

Others described the sound as a “strong Yorkshire accent” while one said she was “a bit Irish, maybe”, reports The Times.

Beowulf dates back to around the 7th or the 8th century and is believed to have been composed in East Anglia.

Angelina rocked a $26 crushed velvet dress, reports Access Hollywood. She picked it up from the vintage store Wasteland on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles. Angie finished off her look with a pair of Christian Louboutin peep-toe pumps with crystal heels.

The premiere and after-party (at the Metropolitan Club) are being thrown for Reporters Without Borders, an international group that protects the rights of journalists and photographers. A Mighty Heart is based on a book written by Marianne Pearl, the widow of slain Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl.

The sold-out event raised more than $15,000 for the Daniel Pearl Foundation which was formed in memory of journalist Daniel Pearl and is committed to promoting cross-cultural understanding through journalism, music, and innovative communications.

Just Jared caught a screening of A Mighty Heart last night and let’s just say it was beyond moving. [Spoilers ahead!] The documentary-style drama is very real and very emotional. The UK Times summed up the editing best: “The director’s rapid-fire and choppy editing gives you a genuine feel for the many different sides of Karachi, and the urgency of the investigation.”

Angie’s screams of anguish as Marianne Pearl are intense and will have you writhing in your theater seat. Memorable moments include the wedding flashback scene, Angelina dancing (with a bit of tummy showing, if I remember correctly) and the birthing scene of son Adam.

But don’t fret my pets, the ending scene is sweet. There are captions of “current updates” about the Pearls as you watch the backs of Marianne and Adam walking away hand-in-hand. The music also perfectly matched up — I was whistling the tune on my way out of the theater!

A Mighty Heart opens June 22. Catch it if you can!
