Carrie Underwood, introduced by the night’s first performer and winner, Alicia Keys (for best female R&B vocal performance), popped up out of the Grammy stage to perform “Before He Cheats” in sexy black shorts and thigh high black boots. It was a surprising – and super sexy – contrast to the floral Zuhair Murad dress she wore on the red carpet. Carrie Underwood’s “Before He Cheats” was named best female country vocal performance. “Before He Cheats,” written by Josh Kear and Chris Tompkins, was also named best country song.
